How it all started...
We, as a church, actually have two starts. The First Baptist Church of Grand Junction started in 1883, making it one of the oldest known churches in Grand Junction. FBC has a long history of being a church for the community. God has used this church to impact many lives for Jesus and serve the surrounding community. FBC has a reputation for helping other ministries and churches over the years.
Many years later, a small church called River City Church formed in 2016 and began meeting in houses and coffee shops with a vision to connect with the unreached of the valley. RCC began praying for their next step and if they should find a "space" to be a hub for ministry and gathering, especially for their growing kids!
These two churches started partnering together over different ministries such as Foster Care and serving Homeless teenagers. This is where the vision began to expand...

Expanding the vision...
The two churches have since come together to form Church at 7th and Grand. We now meet in one location on Sundays to worship the Lord and celebrate together what He is doing! The journey has just begun together, but we know that we stand on the shoulders of many faithful women and men who have gone before us to serve this community in the name of Jesus.
Where we are headed...
Our shared vision of being devoted to Jesus, His Church and His Mission has always been a part of our identity. We are an intergenerational church learning to grow together with different gifts, passions, backgrounds and worship styles. We believe that these differences help make up the diverse body of Christ. We believe in a unified and diversified church with Jesus as the Head.
We now continue as one church reaching into neighborhoods, workspaces, and third places (coffee shops, pubs, parks, etc) to share the love of Christ. Two areas of ministry that we are beginning to grow in, are discipleship (small groups) and underserved youth ministry (at-risk teens, Foster Care). There are many ways to get involved, whether that is where you live, work, study or play, or if you have a heart for serving teenagers. We hope you will join us as we seek to live missionally in Christ!
